Abogados migratorios en todo el país están recomendando que migrantes (sobre todo aquellos que no tienen documentos en EUA o que se haya vencido su visa) carguen a todo momento documentación que hayan estado dentro de EUA por cuando menos, ya que esto puede protegerle de “Expedited Removal”.
Expedited Removal es un tipo de deportación inmediata, sin la posibilidad de ver a un juez para pelear por una oportunidad de permanecer en el país, o de apelar el caso, al menos que pueda demostrar que tiene una razón de temer persecución en su país de nacimiento. Si dice que tiene miedo, esto causará que le den un “credible fear interview” – una entrevista para determinar si la razón que Ud. teme regresar es una razón por la cual puede pedir protección del gobierno estadounidense.
Por lo general, a las personas en trámite de estas deportaciones rápidas no se les da aviso de su derecho de contratar a un abogado, y muchas veces no se les da suficiente tiempo para comunicarse con un abogado para poder pelear y demostrar que no aplica la ley de deportaciones rápidas en su caso usando documentos que no tenía Ud. en el momento que lo detienen.
No cargue comprobante de su nacionalidad extranjera (y no declare su nacionalidad, tampoco). Recuerda su derecho a guardar silencio y pedir un abogado.

Immigration lawyers around the country are now recommending that immigrants (especially those who are out of status or have no status) carry with them at all times physical documentary proof of continuous physical presence in the U.S. for the prior 2 years as that will help protect them against being subject to Expedited Removal.
Expedited Removal is an immediate order without any further hearing, review, or opportunity to apply to stay in the United States unless the person expresses a fear of persecution, in which case he or she is afforded a “credible fear interview” to determine whether he or she may apply for asylum.
Individuals subject to expedited removal generally are not informed of their right to counsel. Likewise, they are not provided a sufficient opportunity to contact counsel to help them challenge the charges against them or present evidence that is not with them at the time of apprehension.
Do NOT carry proof of foreign citizenship (and do not verbally state your nationality, either). Remember your right to remain silent and to request an attorney.
